Alvin Daniel Seville is a main character and also a titular hero in Alvin and the Chipmunks series. He is the older brother of Simon and Theodore, the biological eldest son of Vinny and Augustus, the father of Alexander, Sally, and Olivia and the adoptive son of Dave Seville. Alvin has a love and hate relationship with Brittany and he truly cares for her no matter what. In Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: Trouble in Rio de Janeiro, he turned Blu, Jewel, Rafael, Nico, and Pedro into horses, and told Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor to pursues Marcel, Armando, and Tipa in order to prevent them from escaping with the ransom money and the captive birds. Before leaving, however, he told them that the transformation spell can only last until dawn. In Alvin and the Chipmunks: Captain Drakken, Alvin, along with Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor are transformed into horses by Kim Possible (Christy Carlson Romano). They pull the watermelon coach carrying his two younger brothers Simon and Theodore to the Seville's House so that they can have a chance to pursues both Dr. Drakken (John DiMaggio) and Shego (Nicole Sullivan), hoping to prevent them from escaping with the ransom French euros. When the spell breaks at dawn, the three horses are turned back into chipmunks. In Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chinese American Assassins, he is protected by Donald Walls from getting killed by the Shredder (Kevin Michael Richardson) and his men.
